While updating this change, it’s remarkable to me how many places we’ve submitted our address over the years in our marketing efforts. Fortunately, I have a great email archive and have been able to retrieve the logins necessary to make the changes. But if you are planning a change, here is a list I used to get you started on places you’ll need to notify or login and update:
- Your website contact forms
- Your website footer
- Your domain DNS ownership records
- Your email signature
- Google Places listing
- Yahoo! Local listing
- Bing Local Listing
- Your listings with the Chamber of Commerce
- Your listings with the Better Business Bureau
- Email marketing tools (Mail Chimp, Constant Contact, etc)
- Social media profiles (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc)
- Your accounting software
In print:
- Business cards
- Yellow page listings
- Letterhead
- Envelopes
- Checks
- Any ongoing advertising campaigns that may have your old address
