Last week, I had a meeting with a prospective customer who I’d never met.

When I introduced myself, they said — “I know who you are — I saw your photo on your website.”  Yet when I demonstrated SpireCMS (the powerful Content Management System that gives our customers complete control over their content) this prospect didn’t realize we offered that, even though I talk about it quite a bit on our website.

I don’t fault this person at all.  It simply reminded me that many people are visual learners — and they aren’t going to pour over paragraph after paragraph of text to learn about what we offer.  I’ve known this, but I don’t always practice what I preach.  After all, it’s so much easier to write words than it is to create visual content.

Here's a screenshot from the new video that will hit our website today or tomorrow. That experience prompted me to create 2 new videos, which I’m putting the finishing touches on this week.

The first video is short — less than 4 minutes. It gives a visual demonstration of how SpireCMS works.

The second video is rather long.  It’s a 40-minute informational presentation using a mix of video and powerpoint.  In it, I share 7 strateges to keep a small business growing during a recession.

Both of these videos will be released SOON.  In fact, the CMS video will probably roll out later today or tomorrow.  It’s time consuming to create video, but well worth the time – because of how effectively it communicates details about our products & services.

If you aren’t getting the results you would like out of your website — consider adding more photos, or even videos!  You can never give too much information about your products, especially if that information is VISUAL.
