As we head into another busy month, I pause for a moment to celebrate. Spire just turned 5!
In April 2006, the first websites and marketing campaigns were getting built from a cramped office in the spare bedroom at my home in Ashland, Ohio. Today, we are fortunate enough to have grown into a company that serves hundreds of small businesses in Ohio and around the world.
There are a few very important people who I’d like to take a moment to thank…
- First our customers, who entrust our company with their websites and marketing campaigns. We take that responsibility very seriously. We look forward to working with you for years to come.
I’d especially like to thank our first few customers in the Spring of 2006 who gave my company an opportunity when we didn’t have a portfolio of past work to lean on. I’m happy to be serving you still today, and you are the folks I think of first when making decisions that will affect the way we grow our company.
- Thank you to the talented Spire team – past and present – who have embraced and contributed to a vision for what our company can be. Every member of our team have put in a lot of hard work and sacrifice along the way.
- On a personal note, thank you to my family, especially my amazing wife Kim – my best friend who has served as my most trusted business advisor. Her patience with my hectic schedule, thoughtful input and wise counsel have made Spire’s success possible.
My parents, siblings and other family & friends have all contributed through their prayers, creative ideas and great wisdom. I’m not sure any of the family realize the level of impact they’ve made.
- Finally, I thank God daily for His remarkable providence, and for giving me the opportunity to do work that I am passionate about. As a company we seek to honor Him with every business relationship we build, every site we design, and every customer we serve. God continues to provide vision for amazing things yet to come.
Five years is a relatively small milestone from the perspective of where we’re headed, but it provides a great opportunity to recognize these important people who have helped to contribute to this first of many great chapters — creating websites and marketing campaigns that help organizations stand out.
