iPhone 3G: Copy and Paste is Not a Benefit

I’m not sure what Apple marketers are trying to accomplish with one of their new Apple 3G commercials. The ability to copy and paste is not a benefit, or even a feature worth spending 30 seconds promoting on television.

I’m not sure what Apple marketers are trying to accomplish with this new Apple 3G commercial.  

My first PDA did copy and paste, like iPhone 3GThe ability to copy and paste is not a benefit, or even a feature worth spending 30 seconds promoting on television. Existing iPhone users will be happy to see the feature, but you can reach those people using AT&T’s subscriber databases.  For everybody else, this commercial draws attention to limitations of the phone.

I mean seriously, I could copy and paste on my first Palm Pilot, which I bought a decade ago… I’m just saying…
