Scott Alford

Scott has a passion for finding creative solutions for complex problems. In his time at Spire he has worked to improve and create new features for SpireCMS. He has also created custom Registration, Online Course, and E-Commerce systems for clients as well as improve Server and Web Security. As Lead Programmer, he enjoys working with the Creative and Marketing teams at Spire to help bring their ideas to life, developing new and improved ways to help their clients succeed.

While working on his degree in Computer Science at Ashland University, Scott had the opportunity to be involved with many local events working with the AU Technical Productions Crew, as well as numerous Philanthropic endeavors. He quickly fell in love with the small town environment of Ashland while living both on campus and in the community. As an Alumnus he is proud to work with the young men of the Theta-Nu Chapter of Kappa Sigma as an Assistant Alumnus Advisor.

As a senior at AU, Scott was given the opportunity to intern at Spire. While the time they were a young company and mainly focused on web design, Scott quickly became invested in Jeremy’s vision for the company as a leading full service Marketing Company. Six years later, he is very excited to see how far Spire has come and where they are headed in the future!

Outside of work he enjoys spending time at home with his wonderful wife Holly and their three cats. They also enjoy attending tastings of fine wine, food, and craft beer. They enjoy spending their weekends touring new locations in Ohio or enjoying time on the Lake Erie beaches. As much as he loves technology, he tries to unplug as much as possible to keep his sanity.
