Hello! My name is Jeremy Harrison. Welcome to my new blog!

My role at Spire (aside from the normal things that go along with owning a business) is helping small business owners improve their marketing effectiveness. While serving these small business owners, it seems that I'm learning new things each week... valuable stuff that might be helpful to other small business owners.

I've decided to start this blog to share these marketing insights with small business owners -- people like me who want simple, inexpensive ways to promote their businesses more effectively.

I must confess, not long ago I scoffed at the potential of a blog. I called blogs a "fad" that brought no serious marketing benefit to a website. But over the past year, I've changed my tune. I can see how blogs make an impact on search engine optimization, and how they are a powerful communication tool. Blogs probably are a fad, but they work right now. So I will use what works, and recommend them to some of the businesses I work with.
